Peregrine uses its own master data source against which other sources are compared. Sources for comparison include Hospital Systems, Health Plans and Providers.

The Peregrine Data Set is only distributed to those involved in the Health Care Community, it is not sold to Mail List or Phone Solicitation Companies.

Peregrine Management Corporation builds data sets that focus on regional (Statewide) provider communities. While many of the financial, managerial, research and talent resources for health care are organized at the national level, the medicine that patients access is organized and practiced at the community level.

Our Challenge

Peregrine Management Corporation designs and delivers high performance databases maintained specifically to meet the demanding needs of a volatile Health Care Delivery system. Professional providers, service providers, hospitals and health plans are included in regional data bases that are maintained at an extremely high level of accuracy.

The sustained volatility within the health care community results from the constant relocation of professionals, the centralization and decentralization of departments within organizations, mergers, acquisitions, business initiations and failures.

Annually:

• The average practicing Physician has 1.7 practice locations and 2.3 Hospital affiliations.
• 52 % of Physicians in the state will change at least one practice location annually.
• 82% of Physicians will change at least three Health plan affiliation annually.
• 46% of Service Providers will change a service Location by adding or closing a location.
• 78% of service providers will change their service level and type.

Peregrine has developed processes that allow us to maintain very accurate information with a minimum of intrusion on the providers and institutions that we serve. These processes require that we review each provider and their status within the State only when we find that a change has occurred. For most of our verification calls, we are simply confirming a change that we are already aware of. This, and other processes limit our intrusion on the increasingly limited time that providers have or are willing to share with us.

We also believe that it is important to share our information with the entire community in a way that makes sharing information with us valuable to those who share it with us. For this reason we have made the MedicalQuest web site available to the entire provider community.
